What are the pros and cons of dating a single parent dad?

Excuse the broken grammar

Ok,me(19 yo) and my bf(26 yo) have been dating for four months now and everything is going great(very much in love)…and he has 3yo son who he has full custody of from a previous relationship, and the childs mother is still in her partying girl ways(as of what he tells me)…and just last nite while eating dinner,he mention about us moving in together late next year sometime and I was kinda sketchy because I’m not ready too "play the mommy role" as of yet…but don’t get me wrong,I love his child(we play together, cuddle, even go grab something to eat even without him being there)…but I feel like I need to be there for his child because of his biological mother isn’t there too love and support him as she should…I’m just stuck

And on top of that,he wants another child later on in the future(and I’m not too keen on that)

All you can do is be honest with him. His child isn’t your responsibility, and if you’re not ready to take it on, it should stay that way. If you move in together and this kid gets really attached to you, maybe even to the point of calling you mom, think of how hard it’s going to be later to tell them you were never really ready for all that. It’s best to just get it all out in the open with this guy and if he understands, great…but if he doesn’t, he clearly doesn’t have his son’s best interest in mind, or yours.

Are you mature enough for that role yet. You havent even started to enjoy your 21+ years.
Seriously good luck to you and moving in..

    BAD IDEA!!!

Date this guy and be on your own. Dont let his child interfere with your actual relationship.

I think that you are a bit too young to be considering moving in with him and becoming "Mommy" to his child. When you are a bit older and when he is ready to marry you, you can consider his non-proposal. Anyway, 4 months is not a long enough courtship to be moving in with someone at your age.
