Is it normal to become attracted to a friend of the opposite sex, when they become close to your kid(s)? like a father/mother figure?
we are friends and I find them attractive, but I never thought about them in that way until now.
Well, I’m a step mom, so I fell for a guy with a kid, as opposed to being the single parent with a kid, but should certainly think that this is totally normal behavior. I remember when we started dating that my boyfriend told me it was MORE important to him that I get along with his daughter than it is that I get along with him. My boyfriend’s cousin is a single dad, and when he talks about his girlfriend one of the first things he says about her is she is good with my son.
