Let’s say you meet someone through a friend, and they are WONDERFUL! They are smart, funny, cute, loyal, kind hearted, and a GREAT lover.
But let’s say that they deal with low self esteem. Maybe they aren’t so keen on meeting some of your friends. Or hate the way they look. Maybe they doubt themselves too much, and are hyper critical of themselves. Maybe they get depressed from time to time.
What could you do to help them if they are your s/o?
I’m just gonna say it’s a girl to more easily use pronouns.
Make sure you let her know how much you like her and how much she means to you. When she thinks she’s ugly, tell her how beautiful she is. When she’s down, hold her and make sure she knows that you think she is wonderful. It can be hard. I used to have super low self esteem and I didn’t believe anything my boyfriend complimented me on. But it eventually got to me and I feel a lot better about myself because of him. And when I get in bad moods and feel bad about myself, he can always make me feel better when I talk it out with him. He’ll just hold me and tell me he loves me and listen to me and it’s eventually all better.
